One of our most asked questions are about kitchen cabinets and whether you should replace them or re-paint/re-stain them. Professionally installed cabinets can last for generations, but, the style and colour doesn’t always stay in style.
If you are on a budget, maybe your cabinets just have some wear and tear, maybe they don’t match the new appliances, or, maybe they don’t match the new paint or countertop, whatever the reason, painting your cabinets can save you time and money.
A couple of notes when you do decide to paint your kitchen cabinets:
- Be prepared to lose access to your kitchen for a few days
- Decide whether or not you want your contractor to spray or brush your cabinets. They will have different finishes but it really comes down to your style.
- There’s no need to remove your items from drawers or cupboards. We focus the painting on the high visible areas rather than the insides of the drawers (unless you really want to). It will save the painters time and effort which in turn will save you money!
